Stevie May's first half strike looked to be enough for the visitors to take all three points back to Perth.

But the Northern Irish striker found the net in the dying seconds to give the hosts a point at the Global Energy Stadium.

Staggies' goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw kept the score goalless early on with a double save from Drey Wright.

But he could do nothing to stop May giving Saints the lead when the striker was unchallenged in the box to fire past Laidlaw.

Ross County huffed and puffed in search for an equaliser but had to wait until the 95th minute when Mckay connected with Josh Mullin's cross and fired past Zander Clark.

Ross County remain in ninth place, four points ahead of St Mirren in 10th.

They are six points ahead of Hamilton Academical in 11th and seven ahead of bottom placed Hearts who drew 2-2 at Tynecastle.
