Ryan Macleod and James Ross scored both goals which saw them lift the trophy in a close match.

Avoch were in the ascendency from the off and deservedly took the lead midway through the first half.

James Ross sent in a cross from the right wing and found Macleod who fired a powerful drive home to put them in front.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining when Keith Mason of Avoch and Ryan Dryburgh of Black Rock Rovers Rovers were both shown straight red cards.

Black Rock Rovers pushed for an equaliser, but Avoch held firm and killed off the match in injury time.

Ian Penwright cut the ball back to Ross who stabbed the ball home from close range to give Avoch the cup.

At the trophy presentation ceremony, club captain Scott Houston invited Davie Harrison, who broke his ankle six weeks ago, to go up and lift the trophy with him.

After the final, Ian Penwright was named as the club’s player of the year.

He scored 20 goals for Avoch this season having missed two and a half years of football through injury and only made his comeback fives games into the summer season.
