Athletics gold for Dingwall siblings

Brother and sister Joe and Kirsty Arnaud made it a golden family occasion at the North District Championship when they took home three gold medals between them.

The Dingwall siblings who compete for Inverness Harriers put in winning performances at Queen’s Park stadium as they dominated their middle distance race events.

Joe (17), who was competing in the under-20 men’s age group, won the 1500 metres in a time of 4:16.16, and also won gold in the 800m when he crossed the finishing line in a time of 2:02.92.

Kirsty (14) was also able to celebrate being at the top of the podium, winning the under-15 girls’ 800m title as she beat off the competition to cross the line with a winning time of 2:29.93.
