Ross County midfielder Victor Loturi has again been called up to the Canada national squad.

Twice before, the 22-year-old has been included in the squad for Nations League matches – first in March and then for the finals just last week.

Canada made it all the way to the final, only to lose to the United States of America with the silverware on the line.

Now, though, Loturi has another opportunity in a changed squad as his countrymen prepare for the competition pitting the best of north and central America against each other.

In the 2021 edition of the competition, a Canada squad that featured then-County midfielder Harry Paton reached the semi finals, where they lost to eventual runners up Mexico.

At that edition of the Gold Cup, County also saw former attacker Regan Charles-Cook taking part with Grenada – and he would come back to have the best season of his professional career to date.

Now, Loturi will be hoping the competition has a similar impact on him after making 33 appearances for Ross County in his debut season in Scottish football, scoring one goal.
