ALNESS boxer Adian Williamson will look to maintain his undefeated professional record on Saturday night as he looks to continue packing a punch in Scottish boxing.
Inverness City Boxing Club athlete is aiming to make it six wins out of six in his professional career when he fights against a yet to be confirmed opponent in Aberdeen in a four-round bout.
Williamson (20) is making a big impression in Scottish boxing having won all five of his professional fights so far.
The lightweight boxer has signed up with new manager David McAllister at Northern Sporting Club.
Williamson, who also works as a roofer, says signing up with a new management team will be a stepping stone in his career.
“Every fight is important, it is all about building a legacy into your career.
“I’ve signed with a new manager, I am looking to set a good example right at the start so I can get my name out there.
“David is a good guy, I have known him since I competed at amateur level.
“He will help me get about and get me fights elsewhere.
“It is definitely a stepping stone in my career.”
Williamson originally started out in martial arts before it was discovered he had real promise as a boxer when he was a teenager.
“I started off kickboxing and after that I progressed into boxing when I was 14.
“Once I got into that, that was me into the sport.”
Williamson says he is enjoying the challenge of professional boxing since making the step up from amateur.
He hopes he can continue his undefeated streak on Saturday and enhance his reputation in Scottish boxing.
“I’m taking everything one step a time instead of rushing into things,” said Williamson.
“I am targeting a Scottish title and then look for Celtic and British titles and take everything upwards from that.”
