Alness United, Invergordon and St Duthus could start North Caledonian League season on October 17

The North Caledonian League will aim to start the 2020/21 campaign on Saturday, October 17.

All 13 clubs of the North Caledonian Football Association have agreed the date subject to Government and SFA approval

This season will be split into two divisions for one season only due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Last season's top six teams, Golspie Sutherland, Halkirk United, Invergordon, Orkney, St Duthus and Thurso will play in Division One.

Division Two will contain Alness United, Bonar Bridge, Bunillidh Thistle, Inverness Athletic, Loch Ness, Nairn County Under-20s and Scourie,.

The league will finalise the starting date in due course.

It was also agreed that the North Caledonian Cup would be added into the season’s fixture calendar.

Bonar Bridge v Halkirk United
