Kinlochshiel boss Gill braced for Newtonmore onslaught

Kinlochshiel manager Johnston Gill said his team will have to be ready to withstand Newtonmore’s attack as they attempt to defend their Premiership crown.

The Wester Ross side welcome the Badenoch club to Reraig who are searching for the ninth title in 10 years.

Gill said his team know what to expect from Newtonmore and their defence must be ready to stand up to their impressive forward line-up.

“I expect for Newtonmore to come all guns blazing,” he said.

“They are determined to win this league as they are too scared to lose.

“When they go back to their village they get berated by everybody if they lose a game.

“They and Kingussie come from places where they are not allowed to lose.”
