BUDDING business tycoons on the Black Isle have swept the board at a nationwide youth enterprise competition.

And members of the Fortrose Academy team wanting to toast their success in the Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) awards have just the thing for the job — assuming diluting juice is their tipple!

Team Innovation, which scooped six awards at the Glasgow ceremony, were on to a winner with a deceptively simple idea.

The Measure-Up Cup is a cordial juice cup with lines on the side showing the different measurements for single and double concentrate diluting juice.

That allows children to pour the perfect cup of juice, reducing the amount of waste and preventing them from consuming too much sugar.

Innovation now go on to represent Scotland in UK-wide finals.

The team — including Becky Small, Bob Clunas, Luke Kinsman, Gemma Bruce and Niall Jack — scooped awards including Best Presentation, Best Business Report, Best Trade Stand and Young Enterprise Scotland Company of the Year.

The link teacher of the year award went to the school’s Margaret Rhynas.
