BEAR Scotland is set to carry out the work on a 430-metre stretch of the road.

Operations are scheduled to take place over four nights, with work planned between 8pm and 7am each night.

The works are due to be completed by 7am on October 27.

A 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours, with temporary traffic lights and a 30mph speed limit during the day as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained.

Ahead of work beginning, Eddie Ross of Bear Scotland thanked road users for their patience.

Real time journey information is available from Traffic Scotland on www.traffic.gov.scot, twitter at @trafficscotland or the new mobile site my.trafficscotland.org
