Woman hiker released from hospital in Inverness after airlift drama at Highland beauty spot the Falls of Glomach

A woman hiker has been released from hospital after being airlifted to safety from the Falls of Glomach in Wester Ross.
The Kintail Mountain Rescue Team and other emergency services were scrambled to the scene on Wednesday after a walker set off an emergency personal locator beacon near the famous beauty spot at around 4pm.
The rescuers quickly located the woman who was transported to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where she remained overnight.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the casualty had been treated at hospital and then discharged today.
He said: “Around 3.25pm on Wednesday, April 3 police received a report of concern for a woman near the Falls of Glomach.
“Emergency services attended, as part of a multi-agency response, and the woman was traced safely.
“She was conveyed to Raigmore Hospital for assessment and was later released.”
