A Wester Ross woman who gave her boyfriend a bleeding nose in a Gairloch car park had sentence further deferred for another six months for social workers to assist her with her problems.

A background report had been called for last month on 22-year-old Tia Miller of Pier Road, Aultbea after she admitted conducting herself in a disorderly manner on May 3 this year.

Inverness Sheriff Court had previously been told that Miller suspected her boyfriend of cheating on her with a younger woman and confronted Jacob Miller in a chance meeting.

Miller wanted their relationship to continue. But when this was rejected, Miller began shouting at him, telling him she loved him.

However fiscal depute David Morton said the terms then became more aggressive and there was a struggle.

"During this, her head struck his nose causing it to bleed. Friends intervened to separate them," Mr Morton added.

Defence solicitor Cecily Kingston said her client only found out that their relationship of almost three years had ended when she saw him with the other woman.

Sheriff Sara Matheson deferred sentence again until March 3 next year.
