A WOMAN who caused a disturbance outside a house in Kyle of Lochalsh has been fined £210 at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Fiscal depute Sharon Ralph told Sheriff Sara Matheson that officers were called to Plock Road on May 2 because Dolly MacIntyre (26) was causing a disturbance.

"She was told to leave the area and go home and adhere to the Covid regulations," Mrs Ralph said.

But MacIntyre continued to argue with police before starting to walk away.

"She then turned round and shouted and swore at the officers who arrested her. But she lashed out with her feet striking one of them on the legs," Mrs Ralph added.

Defence solicitor Laura-Jane McFarlane said her client had little recollection of the incident.

"She had been going through a difficult time after the break-down of her relationship," Mrs McFarlane went on.
