A 23-year-old Alness woman who persistently makes nuisance emergency calls will be sentenced next month.

Elizabeth Gibson of Westford, Alness, appeared from custody before Sheriff Sara Matheson at Inverness Sheriff Court, represented by defence solicitor Neil Wilson.

No narrative was given but Gibson admitted previous convictions, which included several for similar offences.

She will be sentenced at Tain Sheriff Court on January 11 after a background report has been prepared.

She was released on bail.
