A 44-year old Inverness woman who was staying with a friend in Conon Bridge got so intoxicated they fell out.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Carol Farrar, now living in homeless accommodation in Union Street, Inverness until she gets a new home, admitted abusive or threatening behaviour.

Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald heard that there was an anonymous report to police of a woman screaming, shouting and swearing outside a house in Thistle Road, Conon Bridge.

Fiscal depute David Barclay said: "They were mostly incoherent ramblings and when she would stop, she was arrested."

Defence solicitor Patrick O'Dea said: "She was with a drinking friend but she was not in the habit of drinking so much. She is particularly embarrassed. The friendship is at an end."
