A former Strathpeffer woman who shouted abuse at her 73 year old father during a short visit was fined £320 at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Donna Stewart, a 40 year old mother now living at Weyburn Place, Chester, had travelled north last week to stay with her parent at Ord Terrace.

But on March 6, her dad became concerned that his daughter had taken something which was making her unwell.

Defence solicitor Graham Mann said Mr Stewart phoned for an ambulance and police became involved when the woman was heard shouting and swearing in the background.

When officers arrived, Stewart, who admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, was still shouting and swearing, fiscal depute Shamela Ghafar said.
