Highland Stoneware, a handmade pottery shop based in Ullapool and Lochinver, spotted their commission for the Queen in final poignant photos taken at her Balmoral home.

The commission for the late monarch were large hand-painted thistle vases for use at the Royal family's Scottish home in Balmoral.

The vases can be spotted in pride of place on either side of the fireplace holding flowers, in a recent photograph taken by Jane Barlow.

Highland Stoneware will be closed on Monday September 19, out of respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II, it said.

The firm posted its tribute to the Queen on its social media pages.

One commenter, Margaret Mcclelland, posted in reply: "I can see them in the photo taking pride of place. No doubt the Queen loved them."
