AN award-winning Wester Ross visitor attraction has issued a winter warmer invite that won't cost attendees a penny.

Gairloch Museum's initiative aims to bring people together and provide a warm space they can take advantage of while taking part in activities.

The 'Warm Winter Wednesdays' run from 10.30am to 3pm throughout the winter months.

The museum says: "Come when you can and stay as long as you like. All our activities are accessible and dementia friendly. Everything is free, including the food."

Relax in Gairloch museum's Am Bard cafe, enjoy a bowl of Sally's delicious soup, take part in our crafting activities, or challenge someone to a game of tiddlywinks.

There is no charge and no need to book - just drop in anytime between 10:30am and 3pm.

As well as free coffee, tea and lunchtime soup, there will also be variety of events throughout the day, including accessible art for all abilities, with materials provided; a carers catch up to enjoy a blether, knitting and nattering and a computer clinic, offering one–to–one tech help and tips, as well as traditional board games.

Gairloch Aid & Mobility Support (GAMS) and the Highland Health and Wellbeing Fund are financially supporting the initiative.
