A ROSS-shire visitor attraction is promising locals a warm welome on Wednesday – whatever the weather!

And childhood memories will be evoked for many with the chosen theme.

Gairloch Museum has been amongst a number of public places to have set aside time and space to bring people together.

While the emphasis has previously been on warmth – a counter to the cost-of-living crisis – the attraction is now flagging "Whatever the Weather Wednesdays".

It said of the new programme starting tomorrow (Wednesday. April 19): "Whatever the Weather Wednesdays will have a slightly different format – but as before all activities are open to the community, accessible, dementia friendly and free of charge.

’In the mornings we will have a session based around some of our museum handling objects – a different theme every week to explore, discuss and enjoy. Enjoy a sociable lunch by either bringing a packed lunch or buying lunch in the café.

"In the afternoon we’ll have games and bingo for those who stay. All our activities are accessible and dementia friendly. Come along and join us for part or all of the day. If you need help with transport please be in touch so as we can arrange a lift for you.
