Conor Brown runs kayak and canoe company Ewe Canoe based in Loch Ewe.

With over 20 years of experience as an outdoor instructor, Mr Brown takes many visitors and locals out on the loch to teach them paddling skills.

He is passionate about the coastline of Wester Ross, and believes it has some of the best kayaking in the world.

“The things I enjoy most about taking people out is introducing them to kayaking and canoeing and getting them out to see the landscape from a different viewpoint," he said.

"There is so much to do around the area I think that anybody thinking about coming up should go for it. It’s a brilliant place to come.”

The video is the final instalment in the Are you a West Coaster series run by Visit Wester Ross.
The series covered a range of business owners and community members across Wester Ross to show all that the area has to offer.

Douglas Gibson, co-ordinator at Visit Wester Ross, added: “We’ve really enjoyed showcasing Wester Ross through the eyes of our West Coasters over the last six weeks. I hope that we have shown the depth of what we have to offer here in Wester Ross, whether you are keen on outdoor activities, the arts, excellent locally sourced food or the breath-taking landscape we have in this part of the Scottish Highlands.

“The response we have had on social media has been phenomenal and we’ve been blown away by people sharing their fond memories of holidays in Wester Ross. We knew there were fellow West Coasters out there and we look forward to welcoming them this year!”
