Water supply cuts in Tain area being investigated by Scottish Water

Scottish Water engineers were investigating this afternoon (Tuesday) after residents of an Easter Ross town reported a loss of supply.

The company’s engineers were “on the way” after customers in Tain reported interruption to water supplies shortly before 1.30pm.

In an update on Scottish Water’s website at 1.30pm, a spokesperson for the company said: “Customers in Tain have reported an interruption to their water supply. We are currently on the way to investigate the issue and are aiming to be on site as soon as possible.

“If you require immediate additional support, please call us on 0800 0778 778.”

Commenting via its social media channels, Scottish Water added: “We'll update you as soon as more info is available. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
