WATCH: We spoke to some of the winners at las night's Best Bar None Awards ceremony in Inverness

BARS and pubs of Inverness were celebrated at the latest edition of the Best Bar None Awards which wee held last night at the Waterside Hotel.

The prestigious national Awards Scheme has been operating across Scotland since 2005 and has been a feature within the Inverness Hospitality Sector since 2006 to recognise the contribution made by venues in the promotion of high standards and professionalism.

With 16 businesses getting a gold award, the event saw The White House taking home the award as Best Newcomer, The Chieftain Hotel as Heart of the Community and Johnny Foxes & The Den won the Innovation & Social Responsibility category.

On the night, the pub or bars that will compete at national level were also announced: Platform 8, Scotch & Rye, Johnny Foxes & The Den, Chieftain Hotel Best and the The White House will get through the next step.

Lauders, The Highlander and The Keg took home Silver awards and Jimmy Badgers gained a Bronze award.
