Islander rockers Peat and Diesel enjoyed a little downtime in Inverness, and will have to replace a guitar after 'giving it laldy'

Peat and Diesel, who were in Inverness after a gig, sat outside a row of shops in the city centre on Saturday night talking to a busker, when lead singer and guitarist Calum 'Boydie' MacLeod picked up his guitar, and started playing for a small audience.

At the time, the frontman was sitting next to a bride-to-be while he hammered out the hits.

Peat and Diesel band members, Innes Scott and Uilly Macleod watched while Boydie played, later re-posting the video on its social media page promising to make amends for any damage caused.

It was captioned "We've got our own wee band."

The post said: "That poor borrowed acoustic guitar got the hammering of its life in Inverness at the weekend. We promise to replace it!!"

The video was originally shared by Dana Afrin, who said: "When Boydie borrows the buskers guitar in the back streets of Inverness."
