WATCH: Swimmers brave the elements to take part in Kessock Ferry Swim 2023

Swimmers braved the elements as they took part in the 2023 Kessock Ferry Swim on Sunday afternoon.

Over 270 people took part in the 1200 metre swim across the tidal narrows of the old ferry route between South and North Kessock.

The Inverness tradition, which dates back to 1946, saw brave swimmers conquer the challenge in windy conditions with light rain.

Aban Outdoor, in association with Clachnacuddin Football Club, organised this year’s event.

Aban is Scotland’s only independent Duke of Edinburgh Open award group, an outdoor club for young carers and an innovative adventurous learning programme in local schools.
