TEACHERS and support staff at a Highland school have been helping pupils and parents walk on sunshine with a video posted online.

Staff at Kirkhill Primary School have made a short film showing them virtually passing a message to each other set to the music of Katrina and the Waves' version of Walking on Sunshine.

The video shows staff members in their homes or gardens, some of them in fancy dress, with Cruella de Vil passing the note to a version of Isa from sitcom Still Game.

The film ends with the message: "Make Someone Smile Today."

Staff shared the video on the school's Facebook page with a short message that said: "We hope this video fills your houses with sunshine. We can't wait to see you all again."

Personal support assistant Heather Maclean Mackenzie said: "We are missing the children and families so much and we know times are difficult for people just now, so wanted to cheer people up and let the kids know we are thinking of them."
