DRIVERS making their way along a familiar coastal road in Easter Ross have been revelling in an unexpected festive lights' display.

Among the large number of stacked monopiles at Invergordon port, one is illuminated for Christmas, with changing colours and swirls.

Davine Sutherland, who shared this footage, said: "It has caught the imagination of the town, and cars driving along the share road to and from Alness pull into the car parks to watch it.

"It's unexpected and festive, yet has a very calming influence."
