MUSIC lovers in the Highlands are in for a treat as a new hi-fi and discs shop opened its doors in the city centre today.
Located on Greig Street, Highland Hi-Fi is a cosy new speciality shop selling hi-fi equipment as well as a selection of vinyls, CDs and cassettes.
The store, which relocated to the prime Highland capital location from its former base in Dingwall, is holding an open day today from 2pm.
Owner Graeme Dolier (51) said: "We want to give good music to everyone in town and introduce high-quality audio to those who might not know about
"I first decided to open a shop around 2000, when I realised that it as difficult for anyone wanting to upgrade their sound equipment had to go to Glasgow."
A civil engineer by trade, Mr Dolier has a two-decade-long industry experience and wants to share his passion for high-quality sound with people in the Highlands.
The offer will range from CD players to turntables and streamers, and music enthusiasts will be able to use the comfortable demo room to sit and try a variety of equipment available.
Mr Dolier used to run a the shop in Dingwall for seven years before deciding to move to the Highland capital.
Highland Hi-Fi will be open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
