THE free event returned to the city centre today as more than 160 classic cars flooded the High Street and surrounding areas.

Locals came in crowds to admire immaculate cars from Mini Coopers to MG's, and plenty of vintage motorbikes.

There was a variety of entertainment including buskers, free face painting and performers.

Inverness BID organised the event which saw a parade of the vehicles at 3pm as they left the city.

The finale was led by the City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band and went down the High Street.
