TEN members of Dingwall Field Club gathered for a walk at Silver Bridge near Garve, impressed by a very full river and impressive waterfalls.

The group crossed the river by the old bridge and went under the A835 by an underpass, noting that the path down the river has been much improved, making for easy walking.

Members noted the water had been much higher by the flattened grass and driftwood along the sides. Before crossing the Wade bridge to return, they checked out the splendid forest play park. The Contin-based leader kindly invited members to his house for a picnic as the rain came on.

The next walk is on February 16 at Culbokie Wood. Meet at Dingwall car park at 10am.
