Wester Ross village residents celebrate four-figure windfalls after winning Daily Prize in People's Postcode Lottery; eight neighbours in an Aultbea street won £1000 apiece

EIGHT people in a Wester Ross village are celebrating today after winning £1000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The neighbours, who live in Pier Road, Aultbea, netted the windfall when IV22 2JQ was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Thursday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: “What a surprise to start your day! Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy their winnings.”
A minimum of 32 per cent= of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by Amnesty International UK which has received more than £8.1 million in funding from players of the lottery.
Local charities can next apply for funding in August.
