UPDATE: Road reopens after A9 collision near Tain sees two people taken to hospital

TWO people were taken to hospital after a road traffic collision near Tain, Scottish Ambulance Service has confirmed.
The road was reopened early in the afternoon after a two-vehicle collision on the A9 B9175 in Knockbreck this morning forced a closure of the road.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.52 this morning to attend a road traffic collision near Tain. We dispatched three resources to the scene and two patients were transported to hospital.”
Police and firefighters were also on the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: Police were called around 10.50am on Wednesday, 1 March to a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on the A9 at the B9165. Police attended and both drivers were taken to hospital to be checked over and the road has since reopened."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance, where crews remain on scene to assist our emergency service partners.
“No casualties have been reported.”
