UPDATE: Ross-shire stretch of A9 closed following Evanton accident reopens

A ROSS-SHIRE stretch of the A9 closed following a two-vehicle collision has reopened.

The road was closed in both directions near Evanton earlier this evening.

Road users were advised to use alternative routes.

Traffic Scotland indicated later that the carriageway had reopened with traffic returning to normal.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed they attended the scene at 5.14pm.

Two cars were involved in the collision.
