UPDATE: One casualty after three vehicle crash closes the A835 road between Tore and Conon Bridge

A man has been taken to hospital after a three vehicle road crash in Ross-shire.

The accident was reported just after 7 am this morning with police, ambulance and fire service crews attending.

It happened on the A835 between Tore and Conon Bridge, near the B9169 junction, with the road initially closed in both directions.

Traffic Scotland say the route has now reopened fully.

Three fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit were at the scene until just before 7.45 am.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 7am on Friday, November 24 we were called to a report of a three-vehicle crash on A835 near Conon Bridge.

“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The road was closed and reopened at around 8.40am.”

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 07:03 today about an RTC involving three vehicles near Conon Bridge, in the Dingwall area, on the A835 road, junction B9169.”
