UPDATE: Missing Highlands man found safe and well

Police have said that a man reported missing in the early hours of this morning has been found safe and well.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We are pleased to confirm that Lewis Gove who was reported missing from Aviemore has been traced safe and well.

"The media and members of the public are thanked for their assistance with this matter."

Lewis Gove, from Avielochan, just north of the village, had last been seen around 4am at the southern end of the town near the La Taverna roundabout.

HM Coastguard rescue helicopter had been called in to help with the search at 7am.
