UPDATE: Man taken to Raigmore Hospital after smash involving lorry and minibus on A835 near Conon Bridge in Ross-shire

A MAN has been taken to hospital for treatment after a two-vehicle crash in Ross-shire this morning.

The trunk A835 road was closed for a period after the accident which happened at around 10.15am near Conon Bridge.

The police and ambulance services confirmed that a man was taken to Raigmore Hospital following the collision.

Police said the accident involved a lorry and a minibus.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.15am on Wednesday, August 16, police were called to a report of a road crash involving two vehicles on the A835 near Conon Bridge. Officers attended and one man was taken to Raigmore Hospital.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10:17am to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A835 near Conon Bridge.

"We dispatched one ambulance, and one patient was transported to Raigmore Hospital.”

The condition of the man is not known.
