UPDATE: Cyclist taken to hospital after collision with car at Raigmore Interchange roundabout in Inverness

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment after a cyclist and car were involved in a collision at the Raigmore Interchange roundabout on Thursday morning.

The A9's southbound slip lane leading to the roundabout was closed for a time following the crash, which occurred at around 10.10am. It has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a cyclist being struck by a car on the roundabout at the A9 Raigmore Interchange around 10.10am on Thursday, August, 24.

"The cyclist, a 34-year-old female, was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
