UPDATE: THE A9 is now fully open southbound at the Tore roundabout following an earlier accident.

The road was initially restricted to one lane following an accident at around 1.20pm.

And following the arrival of emergency crews at the scene, the southbound section was blocked and closed entirely. Northbound traffic was not affected. Traffic began to lift after one lane was later reopened, and the entire carriageway is now fully open.

There was no immediate word on the vehicles involved in the crash or if there were any injuries.
