UPDATE: A9 reopens after accident by Carrbridge

The A9 has reopened after an accident on the A9 by Carrbridge.

The A9 has just reopened in both directions following an accident by Carrbridge.

The incident occurred at around 6.38pm south of the Blackmount junction.

One lane had been opened to traffic a little earlier and police were managing vehicles past the incident.

Traffic Scotland reported that the road fully reopened just after 10.30pm.

There is no information at this time on any casualties.

Difficult driving conditions had been reported on the A9 in the vicinity due to snow earlier this evening.

Police Scotland have been contacted for details on the accident.
