The Colour Run will provide the climax to this year's Ullapool Feel Good Festival.

The festival will take place from October 24-30, organised by the Ullapool Community Sport Hub.

High Life Highland’s (HLH) community sports hub officer Katie Matthews said: “This year’s festival is packed with more local events, activities and online opportunities than ever before.

“In the year of Scotland’s Year of Story Telling many of our festival events and activities have been created specially, to help participants tell a story.

“The festival helps people in remote parts of Highland to support their health and wellbeing during the winter months by bringing together local services, clubs and community organisations through physical activity, sport, the outdoors, science, art, literature and much more."

She added: “We are also pleased to inform participants that there will be no charges for any of the events that take place as part of the festival.

“Also, this year, we’ve made sure this is going to be something for everyone over the festival week.

"Activities will range from yoga to riverside walks, active Book Bug sessions to body balance, mountain biking to outdoor campfires and hot chocolate, online chats and courses.

“The Feel Good Festival will of course come to a culmination with the now famous ‘Colour Run’.

"This is a 2.5km or 5km run, wheel or walk for all ages, that has six different colour stations that participants have to go through.

"When they do, they will have holi-powder thrown around them, meaning that individuals finish the run in a kaleidoscope of colours.”

The Colour Run course is fully accessible to ensure everyone in the community can get involved if they want to.
