THE latest updated line-up has been announced for the new Ullapool festival, Ulluminate.

The festival, taking place between May 10–12, will feature activities and events focussing on science, arts and culture. Organisers have revealed the latest line-up of events for the Saturday of the festival.

On the Saturday at 10am, an event titled Over the Hills and Far Away will explore how accessing broadband has become a necessity of everyday life from banking and access to public services to social and travel needs. In 2016, the Lochbroom community, through Ullapool Community Trust, set up their own company to meet their broadband needs when other providers could not meet the challenge of reaching remote and often inaccessible areas.
