MK Thomson is a former Ullapool High School pupil and a recent graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with a first in fine art.

LG Thomson completed the renowned Bridge House Art course, and is the author of multiple books – most recently publishing her memoir Modernist Dreams Brutalist Nightmares.

Together, the mother and daughter explore the human figure through striking and elegant paintings.

MK said: "The exhibition is a culmination of both mine and LG’s response to the human experience. LG’s work considers the absurdity, pain, and joy of existence while my work considers the universality and physicality of embodiment."

The exhibition is taking place from March 17 – June 27, 2024, at the Ceilidh Place on West Argyle Street, Ullapool.
