Ullapool RNIB event set to offer support to people with sight loss

A series of free drop-in events will be organised by a leading sight loss charity across the Highlands next week.

Blind and partially sighted residents in the region will be able to receive in-person support at upcoming local events with Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Scotland.

RNIB Scotland will be speaking to visitors and offering support in venues across the Highlands from Monday, May 13 to Thursday, May 16.

The free drop-in sessions will have friendly and knowledgeable experts from the charity to explain what help is available, answer questions and demonstrate products which can help people with sight loss with day-to-day tasks.

The ‘Helping People With Sight Loss’ sessions will take place on:

· Monday 13 May, 10am-4pm - Inverness Library, Faraline Park

· Tuesday 14 May, 2pm-4pm - Ullapool, Village Hall

· Wednesday 15 May, 10am-12.30pm - Thurso, The Pentland Hotel

· Wednesday 15 May, 2pm-4pm - Wick, The Pulteney Centre

· Thursday 16 May, 11.30am-1pm - Golspie YMCA
