It was on the A9, at Culbokie, around 7.25pm yesterday.

The crash involved a tractor, which was towing a livestock trailer, and a Ford Galaxy car.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Emergency services attended the 63-year-old male driver of the tractor was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. He has since been released. The driver of the Ford Galaxy, aged 52, was also taken to hospital where he currently remains.

"The animals within the trailer were uninjured and officers would like to thank local farmers who assisted with the safe removal of the cows and sheep."

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses and information.

The spokesman said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the vehicles prior to the incident happening to contact them. In particular, if anyone has a dash cam, please check the footage as you may have captured footage which could assist in our enquiries."

Anyone with information is urged to contact road policing officers at Dingwall Police Station, via the 101 non-emergency number, quoting incident 3364 of October 29, 2019.
