TV personality Jonathan Ross delights staff at Achnasheen cafe The Midge Bite in Wester Ross

STAFF at a Wester Ross cafe were delighted to welcome a surprise guest familiar to millions from television.

Best-known as a chat show host, broadcaster Jonathan Ross dropped in on the Midge Bite cafe at Achnasheen.

The TV personality was happy to pose for a picture with staff who later posted: "We had a very exciting customer yesterday! He was up doing a TV programme and chose to have his lunch with us."

The cafe is located on the popular NC500 route.
