"Gary was also the face behind the Ross County Supporters Club social media channels.

"Sadly I don’t have enough words to describe the feeling of loss and shock I’m sure we all feel.

"There will be a tribute and minute's applause held before kick-off at our next home game v Hearts.

"Our love and thoughts go to Nancy, Jake,Siobhan and family at this terribly sad time."

A funeral notice describes him as a dear friend and work colleague to many.

He worked as a delivery driver for Menzies.

Friends are respectfully invited to Wednesday's funeral and donations if wished can be given at the ceremony to the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association or by post to Alasdair Rhind, funeral directors, Sutherland House, Bank Street, Tain.

The funeral ceremony will be followed by a cremation in private.
