Tribute for 'loved and adored' former Alness Academy art teacher

A FORMER art teacher at an Easter Ross high school has passed away at the age of 80.

Jennifer 'Jenny' Dunlop, who was also known as McGillvray to some, passed away peacefully at her home in Fortrose on August 12.

The funeral service for the retired art teacher, who taught at Alness Academy, will be held on Monday, August 28 at 2pm in Inverness Crematorium.

A notice posted by funeral directors William T. Fraser & Son, said: "Loved and adored mother of Jo and cherished mother-in-law of Paul. [She will be] sadly missed by all who knew her in Fortrose, former colleagues and wider family and friends around Scotland."

They added that there will be "a warm welcome to all" at the funeral service. Donations if desired should be made to Marie Curie can be made at the service or via William T Fraser and Son, Funeral Directors, Culduthel Road, Inverness.
