Traffic ground to halt in Highland capital after car and oil tanker were in collision at busy roundabout

Traffic in Inverness city centre came to a halt this afternoon after a car was seen to overtake a tanker on a roundabout.

The vehicle, a white Ford, collided with the oil tanker on the Telford Street roundabout, near to PC World, shortly before 11am and both became lodged.

Traffic was then brought to a standstill causing chaos to drivers throughout the city centre.

Traffic was cleared by 1pm.
