Tractor drivers are being invited to light up their vehicles for a fundraising illuminated run in the Highlands at the end of this year.

The event, which is being planned to follow a route from Dingwall to Inverness, will take place on December 30 from 5pm to 9pm.

It is being organised by the Rotary Clubs of Inverness Riverside and Dingwall along with InverRoss Young Farmers.

All proceeds will go Farmstrong Scotland, a new rural wellbeing programme for the farming and crofting sector, RSABI, which supports people in Scottish Agriculture, Young Lives vs Cancer (Formerly CLIC Sargent) and Rotary.

Tractor drivers are encouraged to decorate and illuminate their vehicles, which can be modern or classic, as much as possible.

The provisional route will start at Dingwall Mart and take in Dingwall High Street, Maryburgh, Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord, Beauly, with a stop at the Black Isle Showground, Tore then reaching Inverness at a destination to be confirmed.

There is no entry fee but anyone wishing to contribute and take part should contact either of the Rotary clubs or InverRoss Farmers via their Facebook pages.
