POLICE have renewed their appeal to locate an Australian tourist reported missing in the Highlands.

The last confirmed sighting of Lynne Radke (53) was on Monday morning in John O’Groats.

Inspector Nick Clasper of the Wick Community Policing Team said: "Lynne was reported missing after she failed to return as expected to the local hotel she was staying in.

"Since issuing our appeal for information we have had a good response from the public who have reported sightings of her in a variety of locations. Officers are following up on all of the sightings reported to us but we have yet to trace Lynne.

"We believe this is Lynne’s second time to the area, having visited Caithness a number of years ago. She is an experienced traveller and may have travelled outwith the Caithness area.

"We are keen to make contact with her to establish that she is fine. If anyone has seen her I would ask that they call us on 101 with details."

She also has a distinctive tattoo on her arm which includes images of a bird and an eye.

She may have been wearing a red jacket and she is known to use public transport.

• Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
