Hebridean baker Coinneach Macleod popped in to the Ullapool Bookshop to sign some copies of his new book at the weekend.

The Hebridean Baker – Recipes and Wee Stories from the Scottish Islands comes on the back on TikTok cult hero success for the baker who was inspired by his 93-year-old aunt Bella.

He previously explained about his passion: "I wanted to promote the islands any way I could. And I thought the baking was a nice way. In the videos I’m baking or telling stories about the islands or my family.”

He said: "I want my book to inspire readers to do three things: slow down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures, try some of my recipes and come and visit the Outer Hebrides!”

Ullapool Bookshop yesterday posted: "A huge thank you to the @hebrideanbaker who very kindly popped into the #ullapoolbookshop this morning to sign a few copies of his book.

"Limited signed copies are now available from the bookshop in person only."

Ullapool Bookshop is a hit on Twitter with surge of sign-ups
