Police Scotland officers in the Highlands launch appeal after housebreaking in Tain, Ross-shire

POLICE in Ross-shire are hunting a thief who broke into a property in Tain.

Officers said that a property was broken into in the town's Mansfield Estate sometime between 10pm on Wednesday, February 3 and 5am the following morning.

Police confirmed that "property was stolen", but did not elaborate.

PC Dougie Wilson said: ”We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in and around this area who could assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting "incident 0408 of February 4".
